Broken Dreams

Let go of yesterday and live wholly for today, for today is all that we have. Give of yourself and show others how to find the way to true happiness. Look around. Listen. Can you feel the energy that is within you? If you cannot, this is ok. Be aware of what source of energy you are plugged into today. Are we looking outside? Are we plugging into the material world to gain satisfaction? Are we relying on human power to solve our problems? Most certainly to some extent, we could always answer yes to these questions. Just as we could respond yes to these questions: do you want to be happy, joyous, and free? Do you want to live in the light? Most certainly we want to… But how do we get from wanting to, to have a connection with Spirit? Would you believe that it is a rather simple task? Every night, I plug my iPhone in so that it will charge. The cord that I plug the iPhone into goes into the wall. Every night I trust that my phone is going to charge and the alarm will go off in the morning because it has been charging all night. But how can I believe what I cannot see? I use electricity all throughout the day and trust its ability to serve me. I give no thought that one day it may not work because it has never failed me. The only time that the lights have not come on or the iPhone did not charge is when something was blocking the path of the electric current. Just as when we feel alone or separate something is causing us to be barred from the Power within. Today, pull the plug from the outer world and tap into the Infinite within yourself. Plug into the Truth that is within you. Trust that which is within, and whenever you feel blocked from the Power, reach out to another person and help them. Look inward and use limitless energy to help others find a solution to their problems. It does not make sense in the world, but to have real freedom, we must sacrifice our plans and help others find their way.
